FOUNDED IN 2017 - BARCELONA
Clō embodies natural and sustainable, where bathing suit designs adapt to your body enhancing your natural feminine side.
The designs are reversible, you can mix and match them to create the perfect swimsuit that adapts to your body and makes you feel comfortable. Clō is focused on the slow fashion movement. All our clothing is designed in our studio in Barcelona and Made in Barcelona. We design sustainable swimming suits and clothing made of fabrics and materials locally and Italy sourced.
Clō Stories is not only a swim brand. Our collection also includes recycled knitwear, organic cotton tee, and natural woven garments. These go together well with the bathing suits and give the comfort represented in the essence of Clō.
The designs are named after the women in history that inspired us and that fought for our rights. We are clothing aware of the environment and climate change, we are actively collaborating in non-profit causes. Such as @nomoreplasticco & @worldlcleanupday
With regards to sustainability & transparency, what are your core values that define how your brand operates?
At Clō Stories, we exclusively produce our garments in Barcelona because we believe in the superior quality of our local industry and we want to support the revival and continuity of the textile heritage of the area.
Clō looks at sustainability in materials and dye for all clothing and packaging as well. For example, 80% of the swimsuit collection is made with recycled polyamide and ECONYL® fabric. The swimwear comes with a beach bag that is Ecopure® Biodegradable and Ecotton mesh bag. We seek to work transparently and consciously, providing our customers with as much information about the production process as possible so they can make an informed decision on their purchase
With regards to sustainability & transparency, what are the "hot topics" you are currently working on and try to improve yourself on?
We are working more on branding in all the wrapping of the garments, and improving the product day by day. We are trying to make Km 0 our garments, but sometimes sustainable fabrics have to come from Italy, since sustainable fabrics work very well. At least everything is done in the mediterranean area with the goal to minimize Co2 emissions.
